Twitter

There are many upsides to bringing Twitter into the classroom. Students can participate in Twitter chats, create Twitter summaries, and can connect with people all over the world. Connecting with people all over the world can be a downside as well. Once a student in on Twitter, he/she is free and able to tweet out to the world without it having to go through the teacher. This tool would be great for older, mature students, but many may find it distracting and full of opinions the students are not ready to read.
