Twitter
Twitter is an online social media network that uses brief (140 character limit) “tweets” to convey whatever the user would like.

Efficiency (teacher) - 3 Although Twitter is blocked for students, I could use it for professional purposes.

User Friendly (teacher) - 2 Twitter isn’t too complicated to use, but I do not remember there being any tutorials.

Cost - 3 No cost to utilize.

Validity - 3 Once you are following a few people/organizations the twitterfeed is almost difficult to keep up with!

Safety - 2 There are options within settings so that one may not show their location or allow others to “find them”. However, I do not see anything that would prevent someone from following you once they have found you- other than blocking after the fact.

DOK - 3 Twitter could serve many intended purposes.

Monitoring Capability - 2 Students can write almost anything in twitter, which could be problematic.

Permission - 1 Not permitted.

Student Use - 2 Has the potential to enhance student learning.

User Friendly (student) - 3 Twitter is very easy to get to.

Student Engagement - 2 I based this rating on how students seem to feel about twitter use in their personal lives.
