Khan Academy

Khan Academy is an online education website that is free to anyone to learn about a myriad of topics. It is best known for its educational videos, but also contains practice problems and other manipulatives.

Efficiency (teacher) - 3 Khan’s videos are extremely well done and can be shared with students to learn new topics.

User Friendly (teacher) - 3 Extremely user friendly.

Cost - 3 No cost to utilize.

Validity - 3 Updated on a regular basis and has an extremely high educational value.

Safety - 3 I don’t see how using Khan could be compromising in any way.

DOK - 3 Students can learn about anything the teacher has intended with Khan.

Monitoring Capability - 3 There really isn’t much for a teacher to edit, however a student must just log in and the teacher can monitor progress within Khan.

Permission - 3 Permitted.

Student Use - 3 Many of my students would be lost without it! It is a great supplement to what is being done in the classroom.

User Friendly (student) - 3 Khan Academy is very easy to get to.

Student Engagement - 3 Students love it!
