Padlet

Padlet is a visual board tool that allows people to post pictures, text, questions and more to one central collection place.  Each board has the ability to be personalized, so a user could set up a new Padlet board for different questions or content areas.  There is also a unique permissions tool, which allows for closed sharing.  Permission could be granted only to students, parents, other teachers in the building, or a broader community.  Each board is personalized for sharing, so it’s not one size fits all for the user.  The teacher is the account holder, so they manage permissions and grant access to students.  This helps with safety and monitoring.

Students will appreciate the diversity and personalization allowed within Padlet.  Teachers will need to monitor and set expectations for it’s use.   Because the teacher is the account holder, the fee is $45/teacher/year.  Teachers grant access to students, so student use would be free.
