Explain Everything
Explain Everything is a powerful tool that allows students to record their voices while explainng their thinking and demonstrating their work.  This app also allows students to upload pictures and other sources to create a presentation.  The presentation can be saved in multiple formats.

Tenmark
Tenmark is an online math program to reinforce and practice math understanding and fluency.   Students are able to sign on independently and answer math problems aligned to the common core with hints and tutorials.  Teachers are also able to assign individual or whole group assignments.  Weekly class data is sent.

2nd graders are engaged when directed to use the app.

Easy to assign work and collect data.  There is an optional upgrade available.

Class Dojo
Class Dojo is a communication tool that I use to email or text parents and relay behaviors with a simple click.  Parents can create their own account and add any email or phone number they choose.  This is also an app.  Parents have been more likely to communicate via Class Dojo because it is quick and informal. 

Student Engagement: 2
Although second graders do not use this communication tool, they are informed on updates to encourage conversation at home.

Accessibility/Relevance: 3
This is an effective communication tool.  As a classroom teacher, I use it like a text and to send reminders.

This is a simple and effective communication tool for parents.
