Carlene Bouley Module 5 Collaboration Task:  Khan Academy
Note: Highlighted area is the score.  If not highlighted it
is Not Applicable.

Every teacher has heard about Khan Academy and most likely, most teachers have used it.
I decided to use the rubric on a tried and true tool that is used nearly everyday in my Math
classroom.  Created as online Math tutorials, Khan Academy has blossomed to include
every subject-matter.  I mostly use if for my flipped math classes.  The students access
the online tutorials for the standard they are learning and included are practice problems
they can work on.  If the student gets stuck, there is a video they can click on to see
how to do the problem.  Khan Academy has been an invaluable tool in my math classes.
For the younger and competitive students, they can work on gaining badges and avatars
as they learn math, this makes it fun for the students. This is the reason I gave it a 3 in
Student Engagement.  It is incredibly user friendly and since the implementation of the
Common Core, they have created an interface where one can search via Common Core standards
and continue working through the standards.
