Padlet
Padlet (formerly WallWisher) is a great brainstorming/class communication tool for teachers of different levels. It has some nice privacy features for the teacher to make it completely private, completely public or moderated by the teacher. Here's how it measured up...

Applications for education
Padlet has a lot of useful applications for the classroom. It can be used simply as a brainstorming tool but also as a platform for discussions and for small group projects that students can collaborate on. Students can easily add pictures, video, audio or text. Teachers can use it for students to turn in assignments with the upload function.
