Accessibility: Users can access the tool on multiple platforms as well as multiple browsers.  

Security/Promotions: User can only access course set up by a teacher with a code provide by the instructor. It is a secure site for classroom teachers to use. Free of fees and advertisements unless the school or school district wants to upgrade for the year.

Functions: Users can turn in assignments to instructors, earn badges for completing work, as well as answer poll questions along the way during a lesson. 

Self-Editing/ Archiving: User can access some editing tools when completing assignments in Edmodo.

Personalization: Users can update profile with quotes, career goals, learning styles, etc.

Use in the classroom: Classroom teachers can provide a paperless classroom, display handouts, and assessments through this site. Great secure tool.
