Tool #5:  Skype

Features:  Skype is an instant messaging app that provides online text message and video chat services, also allows conference calls.  Skype allows users to communicate over the Internet.  

Use:  Using Skype, students could communicate with other students globally, participating in things such as the global read aloud.  Students are also able to connect with others such as their favorite authors to discuss books and gain advice.
