Raz Kids is now called Kids A-Z. This is an online leveled book,
self-paced reading program. Students are given passwords to sign in and
the teacher establishes a reading level prior to log-in. Students are
encouraged to go to the Assignment Room where they listen to a story,
read the story unassisted then take a quiz. By completing the three
steps (green check marks signify completion) they earn stars. They can
go to the star room and "spend" their stars towards parts to build a
Robot or purchase items from the Raz Rocket Catalog to decorate their
rocket room. Students can also go to the Book Room for free reading time
however it will not earn them stars. If the teacher finds that the
student is spending too much time in the Book Room, they may take away
this option. Students can access this program at home. Parents can have
access to this tool with approval from the teacher. I gave this tool 19
out of 36.
