Class Dojo is a free communication tool that allows you to monitor
students' behaviors in a self-regulating way by displaying them on your
whiteboard. Students can also create "Student Stories", student-led
portfolios, incorporating photos and videos. These portfolios can be
shared with parents. Teachers can privately message parents or do a
Whole Class Broadcast. The online Class Story is set up like a blog and
can include pictures, videos and text. This tool can take attendance,
record tardiness, randomly select students, utilize a timer, do whole
class and individual reports, etc. Not only does this tool encourage
positive student behaviors, it promotes the important home/school
connection. I rated this tool 27 out of 36.
