In reviewing the Whats App, I have learned there is a small fee to purchase the app but it then allows for unlimited texting worldwide without any additional costs. There is the limitation of search capability since it is most texting but a variety of document types can be shared.
Whats App is valuable when communicating with people around the world. This opens the door to connect globally in classes such as history and foreign languages. I also see as a way for educators to communicate with educators globally. This could also be a way to connect students to learn about different countries by having the instant communication amongst partner schools/students.
